I was raised to be a very modest young lady so talking about myself feels quite awkward. I was raised in an alcoholic family and that experience has shaped me in many ways. I spent many years at Al-Anon and Adult Children of Alcoholic's 12 Step Meetings that have been enormously important in giving me a foundation upon which to build my life, not to mention a husband who has walked with me through my whole adult life.
I have been self employed for much of my adult life. My endeavors have ranged from a typesetting company (before the time of desktop publishing) to 15 years of lampwork glass bead making and jewelry design, to my most recent incarnation as a homeopath and Body Code energy healer. My latest job as a healer was inspired by a number of chronic illnesses in myself and my family. I have recently cut back on my practice in order to spend more time creating and enjoying my family.
I am drawn to writing, having been a lifelong reader. Ever since I was little, you could find me with my head in a book. Creative writing is a new challenge for me and I expect that I will learn a lot about myself and the world from this new journey. I am full of gratitude in this, my 63rd year.
